Island Lake Smallmouth  (United States)
I fished both east and west basins for some smallmouth this weekend and had some luck but not much. everyone I spoke with only fished walleye and did not help me. can anyone steer me in a good direction for some smallie action on island? it would be greatly appreciated. remember CPR. Catch, Photo, Release.

Hello everyone, I revisited some spots along the south shore not to far away from the boat launch and had some more luck. I changed from mid-depth deceivers to deep clousers. it produced some bigger fish and was quite pleased. still have not seen some of the monsters i keep hearing about. should I concentrate on islands or lake shore? any suggestions?
