Northern Minnesota Northern Wisconsin Fly Fishing Guides

To many people, one major appeal of fly fishing is the constant learning that takes place. On many waters, angling for a specific species requires a major investment of time for an angler to be confident in the pursuit. The only downside is that there are new angling opportunities everywhere, and not enough time to thoroughly explore them all. Our guided trips provide anglers with the opportunity to shorten the learning curve on some amazing waters by fishing with a guide who has studied the fish that swim there.

Each season has its own charms in our neck of the woods, and we chase fish with flyrods throughout most of them. The full fly fishing potential of our area has yet to be realized and there are a great deal of waters worthy of exploration. We are committed to expanding our trip offerings because let's face it, if we can make a living at it we can justify fishing every day! Our trips are focused on helping anglers learn the sport and enjoy their time on the water so that they can fish effectively.

Anglers are welcome to bring their own equipment, but we can provide it if you prefer. The season and species will dictate the neccessary gear but our guides will always be fully stocked with terminal gear such as flies and tippet/ leader material. If you choose to have us provide a rod and reel you will be fishing with top of the line equipment; we do our best to ensure you will be outfitted with the right tools for the job at hand.

Brule River Steelhead

Wild steelhead have been treasured by fly anglers for generations, and for good reason, everything about them is enticing. The pursuit of these magnificent fish has altered the course of many an angling life, and the Brule gives anglers the chance to pursue them in both spring and fall. We offer you the opportunity to fish with guides that spend a majority of their time 'chasing steel' and will work hard to ensure that you get the best possible experience out of your trip.

North Shore Steelhead

A multitude of different rivers await north shore steelhead anglers, and timing is the name of this game. Primarily a spring run, wild steelhead and stocked Kamloops rainbows can be found running rivers from Duluth to Canada, ranging from late March to early June depending on conditions.
